? Scoring a Forfeit in MatBoss

Forfeits happen—and MatBoss makes it simple to score them accurately in a dual meet event.

✅ How to Score a Forfeit

1. Open a Dual Meet Event

Navigate to the Events screen and select the dual meet you’re working with.

Then tap the ➕ or Add Match button to create a new match.

2. If Your Team Is Forfeiting:

  • Tap the wrestler name field on your team’s side.

  • From the list of options, select Forfeit.

  • You’ll see the row highlight—this means changes were made.

  • Tap Save on the right.

  • The match will now move to the Completed Matches section, and the team score will be updated automatically.

3. If the Opposing Team Is Forfeiting:

  • Tap the opponent name field.

  • In the pop-up menu, slide the Forfeit toggle on.

  • Tap Save to confirm the change.

  • The score will reflect the forfeit, and the match will be marked as completed.

4. Double Forfeit

Need to mark both sides as forfeiting?

Just select Forfeit for both your team and the opposing team. MatBoss will record a double forfeit.

5. Recording During a Live Match

You can also score forfeits during live recording.

From the Recording Screen, tap the wrestler slot, apply the Forfeit, and hit Save—it works just like editing a scheduled match.

? Pro Tips

  • Always verify the team score after saving a forfeit to ensure accuracy.

  • Use forfeits to keep your dual meet records clean and complete, even when a match doesn’t happen.
