Creating an Exhibition Match

Modified on Tue, 22 Jul at 12:40 PM

MatBoss makes it easy to record and score exhibition matches, keeping them separate from team scores and official stats.

? What is an Exhibition Match?

An exhibition match is a match that:

  • Does not impact team scores

  • Does not affect team or individual stats

  • Can still be recorded and reviewed just like any other match

Perfect for wrestlers getting extra reps or non-varsity matchups that need to be captured but excluded from scoring.

? How to Mark a Match as Exhibition

1. Open the Recording or Playback Screen

From inside your event, begin recording a match or open an existing match in video playback mode.

2. Toggle “Exhibition” On

At the top of the screen, you’ll see a toggle labeled Exhibition.

Tap the toggle to mark the match as an exhibition.

3. Match Now Marked

Once toggled, the match will:

  • Display “Exhibition” on the Event Details screen

  • Not impact the team score in a dual meet

  • Be excluded from stats and reports

?️ Pro Tip

Use exhibition matches to build your team’s video library without affecting your official data.
