Whether you’re scoring a dual meet or an individual tournament, MatBoss gives you the ability to assign opposing rosters to an event—making it easier to select accurate opponent names when creating matches.
By assigning opposing teams in advance, you streamline match creation and ensure proper stat tracking for every bout.
Step-by-Step: How to Assign Opposing Rosters
1. Open the Event
From the Events tab, select the event where you want to add opposing rosters.
2. Tap “More”
In the upper right corner of the event screen, tap the More button.
3. Select “Opposing Rosters”
From the bottom menu, tap Opposing Rosters.
4. Choose State and Team
In the pop-up window:
First select the state of the team
Then select the team name you’d like to assign to the event
Tip: If the state you’re looking for isn’t listed, you’ll need to add that state through your account settings first. (See our separate training video on how to manage available states.)
5. Add One or Multiple Teams
You can assign a single opposing team or multiple teams, depending on the type of event.
After Selecting the teams needed, then click "Add Roster to List"
6. Save Your Selections
Once you’ve selected all participating teams, tap Save in the upper right corner.
7. Select Opponents from Assigned Rosters
Now, when creating matches inside that event, the opposing rosters you’ve added will appear as selectable opponents—saving time and reducing data entry errors.
Add Rosters Anytime
Need to assign more teams later? No problem. You can return to the Opposing Rosters screen and add more teams to the event at any time.
