Managing and Editing your Roster

Keeping your roster clean and up to date is a key part of running an efficient MatBoss account. Whether you’re updating a wrestler’s weight class, removing athletes who’ve left the team, or merging duplicates, MatBoss gives you the tools to manage it all.

Editing a Wrestler’s Profile

To modify an existing wrestler’s details:

1. Navigate to the Roster tab

2. Select the wrestler you want to edit

3. On the wrestler’s detail page, tap Edit in the upper right corner

4. Update the necessary fields:

• Primary competition level (Varsity, JV, etc.)

• Weight class

• Grade level or year in school

Tap Save when finished. Your changes will sync across all connected devices.

Merging Duplicate Wrestlers

If you’ve accidentally created a duplicate roster entry, here’s how to fix it:

1. Navigate to the Roster tab

2. Select the duplicate wrestler you want to merge

3. Tap More in the upper right corner of the wrestler detail page

4. From the pop-up, select Merge Wrestler

5. Choose the correct wrestler entry to merge into

6. Tap Merge in the upper right corner of the pop-up to complete the process

Merging combines match data and removes the duplicate, ensuring clean stats and records.

Deleting Wrestlers

MatBoss allows you to delete roster entries—but only if the wrestler does not have any matches in the system.

To delete a wrestler with no recorded matches:

1. Go to the wrestler’s detail page

2. Tap Edit

3. Scroll down and select Delete Wrestler

⚠️ Note: Deleting a wrestler is permanent and cannot be undone.

Handling Wrestlers Who Leave the Team

If a wrestler has matches in your MatBoss account, they cannot be deleted in order to preserve the integrity of your match data.

Instead, update their level to “Former” from the Edit screen.

This removes them from your active roster while retaining all match video and stat history.
