MatBoss gives you full control over how your scorebooks are named and how weight classes are configured within each. Whether you need to adjust for team level, regional requirements, or internal naming preferences, it’s easy to personalize.
How to Edit Scorebook Names and Weights
1. Open Settings
Start from your MatBoss dashboard and tap Settings.
2. Navigate to the Scorebook Tab
Inside Settings, select the Scorebook tab.
3. Rename Your Scorebooks
You’ll see your A-squad, B-squad, and C-squad listed.
To rename any scorebook, click into the Custom Name field and type your preferred label (e.g., Varsity, JV, Freshmen).
4. Modify Weight Classes
MatBoss preloads default weights based on your team’s level and state, but these can be customized:
Edit a weight by clicking on it and typing a new value.
Add a new weight class by clicking the ➕ Add button.
Delete a weight by clicking the ❌ X next to it.
5. Reset to Defaults
If needed, click the Reset button to restore the standard weight classes for your state.
6. Save Your Changes
When you’re done customizing, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
Once your device syncs, all changes will update across connected devices.
? Why Customize?
Match how your program refers to each squad internally
Adjust for state-specific or local weight class changes
Simplify organization for film review, stats, and coaching staff
