MatBoss gives coaches the power to deliver clear, visual feedback by telestrating directly on match video. Whether you’re breaking down positioning or highlighting technique, the telestration tools make it easy to communicate with your athletes.
When to Use Telestration
Use telestration tools when you want to pause the video and draw attention to specific moments in a match—great for film study, corrections, or emphasizing standout performance.
How to Telestrate a Match Video
1. Open the Match Video
From the Events screen, select the match you’d like to telestrate on. This will open the video review screen.
2. Pause and Select the Telestration Tool
When you reach the moment in the video where you want to draw, tap the pencil icon in the lower right corner. The video will pause and the telestration toolset will appear.
3. Choose Your Drawing Options
Pick from a variety of colors and drawing types—lines, arrows, shapes—to best illustrate your point. You can create multiple drawings during one telestration.
4. Save Your Telestration
Once your drawing is complete, tap Save in the upper right corner. A pencil icon will now appear on the scoring timeline, showing where the telestration begins.
Playback and Review
During playback, telestrations will pause the video for 2 seconds so athletes can review the visual notes before the video resumes.
Matches with telestrations will display a pencil icon in the status column of the Events screen for quick identification.
Pro Tip
You can create unlimited telestrations on any match video, giving you total flexibility to mark up key moments throughout the film.
