How to Assign Tournament Points and Placements in MatBoss

Dual meets aren't the only place your team earns points. MatBoss lets you capture team points and placements from tournaments too, so your season stats reflect the full picture — not just duals.

Here's how to add them.

Step 1: Open the Tournament Event

Navigate to the Events screen and click into the tournament event you want to add points and placements to.

Step 2: Open the Points and Placement Drawer

At the top of the event, click the expand arrow on the Points and Placement drawer.

Step 3: Generate Team Points

Click Generate Team Points to generate points for the event.

You'll see every wrestler who competed in the tournament, each with default points already assigned based on dual meet team scoring.

Step 4: Enter Actual Placement and Points

For each wrestler, enter the place they took in the event. If you're using actual tournament scoring instead of the default dual meet values, update the team points they earned as well.

As you enter points for each wrestler, MatBoss automatically calculates your team's total.

Step 5: Add the Team Placement

In the last row, add your team's overall placement for the tournament.

Step 6: Close the Drawer

Once everything's entered, close the Points and Placement drawer.

That's it — this data now flows directly into your team's stats and reports.
